(I cannot find recently added data on wikipedia within the article but see recent data saying the lunar recession has recently changed to 2.17 cm/yr. in a window within a google search on lunar recession.) Added 8/29/23

This prediction is based on scientific data/knowledge in regards to the moon obtained from Wikipedia and https://www.euronews.com/next/2023/02/10/making-heads-spin-scientists-say-earths-inner-core-has-changed-its-rotation.

Why I think this: The moon has been used as a calendar for quite some time.

The moon is currently known to be getting farther away from the Earth. Given that the internal and external rotation of the Earth matched the direction of the orbit of the moon, the moon received a Gravitational "whip" from the earth.

If it is correct that the core of the earth has reversed its spin, it is possible gravitational drag will be applied to the moon, slowing it down, causing it to get closer to the Earth.
